What are english women's hats called. It is usually a large decorative design attached to a band or clip. Their brim is still down sloping medium to wide brim. However the term was certainly in use in its modern sense by 1999.
Depending on where you live it might be called a tuque pronounced took a beanie a stocking cap a bobcap a burglar cap or a sock cap. Around the same time a similar hat for late Victorian era women and children known as the sailor was widely worn. The wide brim fedora sometimes called a safari hat is one of the trendiest accessories for fashion girls right now.
